Supplements & nutrition to consider

Reviewed by Aion Medical Director name to follow Updated June 2026 5 min read
Short answer

While on weight-loss injections, appetite often drops sharply - so the priority is getting enough protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals from less food. Some people discuss supplements such as protein, vitamin D or a multivitamin with their clinician to fill gaps. Always agree any supplement with your prescriber.

The aim isn't lots of supplements; it's making a smaller amount of food still cover your needs. This is general education, not personalised advice — agree anything with the clinician overseeing your care.

Food first

Supplements people commonly discuss with their clinician

Important: don't start supplements on assumption. Some interact with conditions or medications, and more is not better. Agree anything with your clinician — exactly what monitoring is for.
